My name is Carlee Latham. I’m the girl who always has a story to tell, I’ve never met a stranger, and often disappears to go adventuring without notice.

I’m currently available for the position of Chief Exploration Officer with Michelob ULTRA.

I’m based in Texas, but most likely found with the windows down, music up, pulling over on the side of the road to take a picture.

While most people’s best stories are from college… mine just keep getting better with every adventure. From hopping on a plane to work on a cattle ranch in Scotland, to that time I packed up my dog and cat and spent a summer in Wyoming, to the road trips with my best friends to Nashville, Yellowstone National Park, and Denver. I’m always exploring the next experience.

Europe

The first big trip I took was a study abroad to the Czech Republic. Based out of Prague, I spent four weeks traveling to farms, distilleries, and Holocaust memorials. Part of the study abroad was doing one blog per week, which can be read here. (Keep in mind, this blog was a school assignment and I obviously didn’t keep up with it.)

After two weeks of the study abroad, one of my best friends, Erin Evenson, flew to meet me in Prague and we backpacked 4 countries in 5 days. When she got on a plane to come home, I hopped on over to Scotland where I worked on a cattle ranch for another two weeks.

Spain Trip

It took a few years, but in 2019, I finally made a second trip abroad. It was my second year of teaching in Woodson, America and Sabrina Siebert took a sabbatical in Puerto de Segunta. 9 days, plenty of beach time, and a whole lot of laughs later, I came back to share adventures and pictures with my students.

Mexico

Four teachers, three days, two emails, and one pandemic created a memorable trip for all of us.

New Orleans

A long weekend in The Big Easy with my friends is exactly what I needed… minus the fight on Bourbon Street and kicking unwanted visitors out of the AirBnB, of course.

That One Time
I drove West

The pandemic has done strange things to people. Once school officially let out in May, I packed my dog, Duck, our Titten, and my camera into the car and we left for Wyoming. We travelled around New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. Visiting the roads less traveled and capturing some of the best memories of my life.

Summer 2020

After returning from my Wyoming adventures in early June, I visited friends from Temple, Texas to Nashville, TN and plenty of places in between.

Currently, I’m a teacher. Yes, a teacher. I teach at a public early college high school that focuses in on the unmet needs of our diverse community. But really… what other kind of school would let me show off my literary tattoos?

There’s nothing better than cold beer, beautiful sunsets, and taking time to appreciate the adventure that is life.
